Somethings look like opinions, sound like opinions and when challenged pretend they are opinions when they are not by saying that it is all a matter of opinion and we are all entitled to have one. I read an interesting opinion piece the other day that did define what it is not an opinion. It said “Hate is not opinion – it is violence”. In these times when so much is said and done fired along by hate it is an important to see through an ‘opinion’ to recognise when this is actually hate in disguise so we are not fooled by words and actions. Hate is a form of violence that is meant to hurt and is not an opinion.
